I nearly forgot that the english version of blitz1941 was beta version. (^^)
I have played the korean version too after the closure of eng version and reached to the highest level - the tank is T10.
But it seems no big changes between the offical version (Korean) and the beta version (english).
I saw that efusion MMOG bought the source of blitz1941 (i don't know where ppl got such info), how about the fate of Blitz2 ?

When I played, I was almost exclusively Soviet. I'll probably play as them again. Watch out though, I wouldn't want to run into 5th SS ^_^

When I was playing Korean Blitz Yoda had mentioned playing with 5th SS as German if Global Blitz ever returned.

Those are pretty easy to take off simply by /callgm command or something..
yeah, GM action on things like that was either non-existant or never helped at all.
The most you would ever see GMs doing is flying over the battlefield in UFOs or banning people from the forums.

I was on the Soviet side. I felt Germen tank is a little bit better. Maybe I should try Germen side this time...But I have to say, good players, please don't all of you go Germen side. A unbalanced game is not fun...

I was sent to Ger side by my korean dude(redbubby).It's quite cool to use DickermaxIVa to fight against T-10s.i never fotgot the feeling of creating mega-kill in it,though someone could eat me by 1 shot ~~

I think you guys missed the whole 2 months we had to stay in Budapest until enough players caught up that we could move on, god Buda got old, when Global ended I was ranked 8th overall, mostly with the help of Mirificus.
Yeah well I played it a *LOT* during the first 2 weeks, being so far beyond the rest (together with frickenmoron), we had to wait for about 4 days before more than just a single opponent at a time would appear. That was when the 'Yoda is cheating'-saga began. The majority was still screaming hax by the time we'd figured out how to beat him.
As said, after that I slacked into oblivion.
LOL we all actually became "friends" with Yoda, he even played German on the Korean servers with us.
You guys also missed the last days of Global, which were insane to say the least, the most fun was the Races between the Soviets and Germans in Stalingrad.
Well then it's about time I caught up with that then huh ;)
I should be able to put some good time in from august on, so I actually hope the launch ain't too soon =P

BTW, I loved those Soviet and Nazi songs. The in-game rendition of the Soviet anthem was awesome. The Nazi song 'Erika' was fantastic too.

Great news ^^ hope it will be re-released after three years. Many players will look forward to this.
Also hopes that some problems that were on Blitz1941 Global will get fixed; like German outnumbering due to no limits that could make the two at same number of players(that was nasty, stuck at the default start city and couldnt get out of it without being destryoed right at the bounderies). And the Gameguard Anti-hacking software, that later keeped me noticing about using "hacking software" which was probably the Norton SystemWorks.
Yeah, but im sure there can be done some kind of +% exp for the nation with lower amount of players.
Shifting it someway like that will make balance it a bit hopefully.

i was one of the few who progressively leveled up (was on the German side) last tank i sat in was a Panzer IV if i can recall (level 12-14.. im not sure)

people love to hate the established clans/guilds/fleets whatevers :] it brings a nice challenge to the game. I consider it a sign of respect :D
and yea, navyfield is free to play now. I don't think many (if anybody) would play an enforced subscription to a game so dated as navyfield.
i do like this game better because of the consecutive game mode where you die, you can respawn and get back to the front continuing raining shells on your opponents
unlike navyfield when you die, thats it, leave the battle field possibly with nothing, a slow repetitive process of grinding, and the sheer annoyance of noobs from Blitzkrieg who don't know what they're doing (tking, launching torps regardless of friendlies nearby, pure noobism)

I used to launch torpedoes point blank at enemies and would here a dlunk noise and say "wtf" when they blow me to bits right after words.

well, considering the fact that Soviet commies did pretty bad things before WWII, such as killing more people than hitler himself. Maus 2? isnt Maus "Monster" in german? i thought Maus tanks were only concepts.

Yes the maus was a concept, but as players move up, more Tanks have to be created to keep them in the game. The US Pershing tank is also a high lvl soviet tank, although it never saw combat with Soviet forces.
Maus actually means mouse in german, and there was only one prototype but this is a game, and for the purpose of adding new content, delevopers are allowed to take artistic liberties, such as a second Maus development.
I think its more Germany versus the allies, as they have all sorts of british and american vehichles on the soviet side.
If that's the case I think they should put some Japanese tanks in the game.

The compelling choice of Germany or USSR... Does USSR get the American T28/T95 Super Heavy? To counter the Maus that is... Considering Maus is in the game.
i don't think no one remembers / knows if the USSR gets the US tank..

LoL @ Diode, yes the USSR gets US tanks, I remember it well since I played from opening day till closing day of Global Blitz 1941 and I played on the Korean Servers for almost 8 months before those were shut down. And there are Lee's, Shermans, M12's, and Pershings on the USSR side. THE Pershings and Lee's even have US markings.

In ww2 history, the USA had sent some 75mm versopn Shermans to USSR.
most of the tank commanders of red army think the Shermans was more safer than T34 since T34's ammo will blow up when it get hit.
but those Lees, M12's, and Pershings. I can't sure if there were in USSR.

God guys, dont sit here and debate the accuracy of the game, its a fun game to play, even if the Soviets didnt have these tanks and SPG's the developers have to make some allowances for game play. If not there simply would not be enough vehicles to balance each lvl.

I sent a lot of videos and screenshots proving they were doing it and they didn't anything.
I hope this version don't die like the korean one.
If not chinese allowed in game for sure this game can survive a lot of years because no game at all about fight with ww2 tanks.

Maybe some Chinese players gave you hard time before. But it's not only rude but also unfair to blame and punish all Chinese players. Like all countries, there are all kinds of people in China, some are nice and some are not so nice. I don't know how old you are. But please learn how to think like an adult.
Guys do we get to keep our stuff after open beta?
After doing the closed test of this game only a few short months back I thought i would love this game. And i did untill efusion screw up on an possible IP ban of the koreans. The reasion games do not annouce a change like that is due to harsh reprocusions by the player base. And efusion saw that with the trainer hacks.
Sadly this game is about to go retail tomorrow. My review so far is this.
None of the new patch content has been tested on the open server. Not the land bridges, items or nerf/buffed tanks.
efusion has taken the "listen to the players" too seriusly. They have not quite figured out the diffreance between QQing and common sence.
The Mod staff is more like players that can not do the job correctly. as posted on the efusion forums by the server head "i have 12 accounts" Why does a MOD need 12 accounts. Mod do not play the game. Atleast not one like this. The level range and restrictions sorta prevent the mods from doing the job. The staff is slacking more then they would like to tell you.
I wanted to see this game succeed i realy did. I did this sorta thing for a living for 8 years. But with crappy tank battles, Lvl issues with what tank belongs where, a lazy forum ban happy staff, and lack luster game play, I would not recomend this game to my worst enemy.
